If upscaling from HDV to 1920X1080, is it better to change your project settings to 1920 and export to mpg, or is it better to export from a 1440 project to Canopus Lossless and then upconvert to 1920 in TMPGenc5. Or is there no difference?

With HDV I work Project preset 1440x1080 50i (PAL) (HDStormBay) and than I export 1920x1080 24p by TMPGEnc Movie Plug-in MPEG-2 for EDIUS.I obtain a very good video file!MPPais -
