Hello people...

i thing it was hard to wait, but, after the long climb of the mountain you can see clearly the sky and the beauty of our world...

eermm... sorry if this sounds weird but my latin english ain't too good... what i mean is that (finally) after finishing an important project i'm ready to upgrade our systems with NHX to Edius 6.xx

hard to wait?: yes of course (i was one of the guys asking a lot for the driver) but i can see clearly now after reading and following this forum (i confess this is the only one i follow)

Now i see the light about installing, upgrading, importing presets and making my own ones...

so: THANK YOU!!! GRACIAS AMIGOS Y COMPAÑEROS!! after making the training (several times) and reading and reading posts of you people i thing it gonna be a good experience.

everything is fine but

opening a 5.xx Edius project, my new 6.03 ask for "missing pluging\filter... replacing with dummy..." (please excuse my latin english) but i can not found any clip on the timeline with any "dummy" filter, no even audio filter. The next time i opened this project Edius, it didn't ask for any missing, so, i was a little bit confused.

the only one i guess could be missing (which i already had) is the NewBlue Cartoonr. Installing this didn't work, so: going to http://www.newbluefx.com/ and downlading the new free cartoonr fixed it!!

Es que al actualizarte a EDIUS 6.03, el manejo del timeline y sus advertencias es diferente a la anterior versión, se ocultan... si tú actualizas al EDIUS 6.03 también necesariamente tienes que actualizar todos los plug-in que se usen en el proyecto anterior de EDIUS 5... yo te recomendaría trabajar solo con proyectos nuevos en EDIUS 6 ó proyectos viejos sin ningún plug-in. Termina todos tus trabajos anteriores con la versión elaborada originalmente, salvo que yá lo hayas hecho y tengas más libertad para probar.

Is that upgrade to EDIUS 6.03, timeline management and warnings is different from the previous version, hide... if you upgrade to EDIUS 6.03 also necessarily have to upgrade all plug-ins that are used in the earlier draft of EDIUS 5... I recommend you only work with new projects in EDIUS 6 or old projects without plug-in. Finish all your previous work with the version originally developed, unless you've already done and have more freedom to try.

Gracias, de hecho es el procedimiento que seguimos en cada actualizacion de software y con hechos del pasado como la pérdida de los xplode en Edius hacen que uno proceda con mas cautela... solo espero no encontrar mas sorpresas

thanks, in fact that is the workaround in every software upgrade, facts like when we found that xplode was no more with edius make that we proceed with caution.. just hopping to not found more surprises
