Avchd converter and edius 6

When I had AVCHD files with edius 5.51 I just conveted it using the AVCHD converter to canopus HQ codec. Now I have edius 6.03.
Edius 6.03 can convert these files Using Firecoder blu?
It is necesary to use the AVCHD file converter?

In E6 you can convert AVCHD files in the bin, right click the file and choose convert

Yes , But E6 uses FCB to do that? It is possible to change settings if ?

get the latest AVC2HQ and u cant select FCB within that to do the conversion
