  • Bootcamp Software

I'm thinking about running Edius 4.5 on a Mac desktop using Bootcamp. I would love to see a review, opinion, or hear random thoughts. I'm really curious "how well does it run". Would it run just like a pc with similar hardware as a mac?

    Thanks in advance,

If you visit Apple's website, they have detailed instructions on how to load bootcamp on your mac. You will have to partition your hard drive. Once it is loaded and operational, you push the mac power button and then hold down the alt/option key. A window will appear that will offer you the option of starting in Mac OS or in Windows. Select what you want and away you go.

The Windows sides runs exactly as a PC. It works very well. I suggest macDrive to take care of any cross drive problems.

The obvious drawback is that you have to reboot everytime you want to change from one to anohter. It has worked flawlessly for me.

Windows does not always boot cleanly for me and the keyboard is rather limited.
Windows also seems to make my laptop run considerably hotter.

          Other than that, its fine.
