  • Compare 2 clips side-by-side possible?

    When I have 2 similar clips and I want to compare them side by side which one is better-is there a way to do that? Run both simo?
    I am using Edius 4.51 c

    you could just put them on one track above the other and switch to Multi Cam mode [from the Mode menu, or press F8]
    in the same [Mode] menu you can choose Monitors > Show 2 Monitors

        I cant test this out as i am not at my editing PC right now(holy sunday...!), but is there a way to compare 2 clips side by side to do some Color correction and adjust one clip to another??

        Maybe also the multicam could help here, but i am not sure..any suggestions?

          You can use the white balance filter and select a frame from a previous clip and compare it with a different clip. I think the Edius tutorials had a section on how to do this. If you can't find it let me know and I will post the instructions.

              Thanks a lot, ill try to go into this deeper...!

              I know that Edius is not a compositing tool, but seeing what FCP/colour can do, mainly with presets that work very handy, id like Edius to improve the workflow here, or make it possible a t least to work better with 3rd party apps like AE...time will tell..!
