  • Edeus 6 burn to disc

I would like to burn a real dvd with customized title page and chapter stops that I can give to my clients. I registered for the Grass Valley University training sessions. I was unable to find this information in the online training. All they deal with is the basic "burn to disc". Did I miss something? Where would I find this infomation?

Thank you Anton. I get all the info that you suggested. What I need is to burn a disc with a customized, full screen title page (ie clouds), so that I can just press play from there, and view the rest of the video.

How do I get rid of this page?

When I'm projecting a show, I want to go to the title page (ie clouds) without displaying this menu page.

      Thanks,
      Ted

in the edit section, you can replace the bg image with any of yours or moving images such as a video clip on another sequence

click on the word "Back" on the right to explore all options

also, don't forget that there are 100's of different bg's in the disk creator, including clouds

Thank you Anton. Now that we got that figured out I just need to figure out how to make it play on a dvd player. It stops, sputters, spits....

sounds like your video bitrate is higher than 7700kbps and your audio may not be ac3 256kbps

Do not attempt to burn to disc with Edius, export to an image and use IMGBURN (Freeware) to burn the disc.

On my system Edius burns DVD's OK but makes coasters out of Blu-rays.

Blu-rays burned in IMGBURN play great on the PC and also on my Panny Blu-ray player/recorder and also my clubs Sony Blu-ray player.

                  Blu ray, andmenus

                  Hello to all!

I am a rookie here, just registered a couple of hours ago. However I use edius and just wonder why the BURN DISC option is inactive when want to export something.
I do not know what files to be selected if i want to have a blu ray.
Do i need for.ex an NX card? I only have a computer + the software

Your Project Settings must be DVD or BD compliant to burn to disc. All DVD's are interlaced and 24p is not allowed, so check that first.

Do you have a disk in the burner? If you have a DVD and bluray have you selected the correct burner

                        thnax!
I just changed settings hence I usually used 1920x1080 50i, I tried with some other project with a 24frame case and worked.
                        Thnx!

                          Blu Ray

Followed Anton's instructions (which worked perfectly for DVD) to make BD but it took 7 hours to make a coaster of 38 minute video. Am using Eduis Neo 3.

Should I make an image file and write BD in another program?
I've reset to export as image file, again it is showing * hours?

                          Thanks

Yes if you burn with something like ImageBurn you should be fine.

Sadly the time cannot be sped up unless you have a Firecoder Blu or a newer PC with a Sandy Bridge chip that meets the necessary requirements. AVC H.264 (Blu-ray format used by Disc Burner) is very compressed and takes a lot of processing.

The only other option you have is to use MPEG2HD which is very fast but you cannot author this type of Blu-ray from Edius disc burner, you will need something like TMPEG Authoring Works.... quite cheap but still an extra outlay.
