Clip file size limit?

Hello All,

I am trying to open a mpeg 2 TS clip in Edius that is 2 gb in size and everytime I do it freezes up. Smaller files say around 100 mb or so open quickly and work fine. Is there a file size limitation? I'm using a dual core Xeon processor with 2 gb of ram. Does Edius load everything into ram and maybe thats why I'm getting this result?

Video is not loaded in RAM....how is your video drive formatted?

Its NTFS. 400gb Seagate.

It's possible that the system is busy (in the background) generating the PTS seek file. The bigger the MPEG file, the longer it takes.

Test this by disabling the option from Settings>Plug-in Settings>MPEG Importer

Yeah, KH is right...also it might already have a seek file, so if you can delete it (I forgot what extension they had, though.)
