  • snap while moving with Shift+ALT

snap does not work and never has while moving clips while holding Shift+Alt

I think I make this another feature request

That's because the shift key disables any snapping by default. This too, has been the norm since around v2.

I know, but how to overcome this norm? do the developers like aussie red wine? I can deliver upon performance!

        Um, well..

Since for as long as I've done it, I get into the habit of pressing ALT+SHIFT+Mouse clickdown...start dragging and then release the shift key only - snap works a treat then. It's been like this since SHIFT+ALT was born.

(Hold onto that wine - I've got plenty of Aussie wines here in my cellar that I brought over with me on my recent visit home)

wow, that is the best clue in a long time

I now discovered that I can also let go of Alt and all clips still move

so basically, from now on I will only push Shift+Alt to start the move and then let go of both keys, as long as the left mouse button is depressed, all clips will move

be sure to visit my wine cellar when you are in Sydney, thanks for the clue, this makes my life lots easier
