you can easily apply a unique move to any still inside IM2, I do this on a regular basis and with large stills that would be too large for Edius to handle due to its quicktime handler limitation
    Hi Anton,

If I remember right, that project wasn't just stills. I had to include footage from VHS home movies and old 8MM film. All synced to music and other recordings. It was just easier to adjust each file to the right length. Since then, I just find it easier to adjust one or two files, to fix a timing problem, than to re-edit a whole IM project.
Maybe I just don't know how to use IM correctly.

Imaginate is excellent, but do also try ProShow Producer for larger quantity of photos. Its an absolute must for excellent slideshows. Its one of the best peices of software I have ever used for the job its designed for (after Edius and Imaginate of course!)

Imaginate is a great program and I use it all the time. One of the reasons I have not updated to Edius V6. But Imaginate does have some limits. If I'm going to have any movement in a photo, I use Imaginate. I had one job that the customer wanted all the photos to have movement. Over 700. I found that you can not import all 700 IPV (or what ever the Imaginate extension file is) files. It will cause Edius to stop. I did not try putting all 700+ photos into Imaginate and making only one file. I had to split up the photos. The problem happen with Imaginate v2 and I was using Edius 3.5 at the time. I have since moved to E 5.50 and Win7-64, and have does montages with 60-75 photos, but that is about the max I have done lately.
I would suggest, you split up the project, make an AVI file of each small project and just join them up in the end.

I'll triple Jon's Imaginate statement in spades ! ! ! ! IF you've got Imaginate, it's 10 times faster and much easier than the Layouter - which is damn good, but not really built for montages. If you don't have it, maybe you can find one from one of the guys who now doesn't use it any more!

Gorgeous montages - I use it all the time.
    Good hunting...

If you are running Edius v. 5.51 or earlier, you can easily do your montage in Imaginate, and put the *.ivt file on the Edius timeline and stretch it to any desired length.

    It works absolutely beautifully!

Sure Add as many layers (as in tracks) as you want use the layouter for movement.
It is really simple to do. color balance form 0 to mono.

    photo montage in Edius

Can the following be done in Edius?

I recently viewed a video of a group of kids growing up. Actually the event was high school graduation pictures of each graduate in our church as they got older. Each photograph came up on top of the previous photo at different angles. As the previous photo zoomed in it changed to black and white just as the next photo zoomed in. The photos were not all arranged at the same angle but were as if in a pile of photos. I suspect it was done on a Mac. Can something like this be done with edius ?

    Thanks
