Creating MP4 at 1920 x 1080 resolution

I'm using the free trial version of Edius 6 and am most likely going to buy it. But before I do I need to know if it can create mp4 video files at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (with a bit rate of about 8,000 kbps. I've tried to do this but can't find a way to do it. Any help here would be much appreciated.
