  • where does Edius 5.5b save...

...it's aprameters as last project etc.? I want to delete these to be able to start Edius 5.5 in a virgin status considering not to use/search old data.

do you mean the recent project list in the startup window? you can clear them easy with right click

thx - but if Edius wants to start with a last project and this project is broken, I get no acces to the "virgin" start window of Edius.

Edius does not autostart with anything, it will only start with whatever you select in the startup screen

in the startup screen, you can remove all offline projects with clear history

I bet you (with 30 years of editing experience) that my Edius 5.5 shows no starting screen again after having tried to load one of these problematic projects, but pops up with the little window in the middle of the screen and then nothing happens any more. That is why I would like to know where I can dig out the file with Edius's starting parameters to erase the project name there.

I would like to recreate this so I can see what is happening

can you give exact instructions how to create a problematic project, do you mean accidentally trying to start an offline project?

I cannot describe how to create such a project because I suffer from opening that project, which is my problem, but I can send you that project-file to try yourself. It should open up even if there is no data - shouldn't it?

in the meantime I installed my Edius on another pc and there this "problematic" project-file loads and runs absolutely normal. What irritates me is that some of the project-files run and some do not on this specific Edius pc.

your project works fine on my PC

could it be that your hidden temp folder is full? which OS are you using?

                        there are two temp folders

                        1. in the Windows\Temp

                        2. C:\Documents and Settings\Anton\Local Settings\Temp

also, check available disk space on C drive, if over 80% full, you will have problems

can you update the quicktime player and then try again (a common trouble maker)

                            also, update graphics card driver
