    That is the beauty of having a dongle. You are allowed to install Edius on whatever machine and just plug the dongle in to activate it.

    Thanks Jerry, I didn't know whether the software or dongle would have some unique setting on the first installation, prohibiting installation on a second machine. I emphasize that it is only a safety belt for me,and have no intention of running one software licence on two machines- once the new build has proved stable , the older machine becomes a word processor/ games/ office machine, and my current office machine goes to recycling.

    using two installations of edius 5.51

    Hi all,
    I have two pcs side by side. One is dedicated to Edius, the other is an internet/email/accounts machine. Both could do with upgrading so could I transfer Edius to the first upgraded machine by loading the software and just switching the dongle between machines? I don't want to run the risk of stuffing a perfectly stable setup so want to leave the edit machine running until the upgrade machine proves to be as stable.
