Thanks, I had tried this but found it tricky to use. Anything more than the tiniest of adjustments seem to produce weird effects.
I am trying to undo excessive whiteness that I think has come about because of incorrect [Super White] setting.
( eg evident by people's teeth becoming too white to look natural)
Does anyone know the exact parameter settings to reverse this change?

Must be the high contrast white.
In EDIUS 6, apply the "3 Way Color Correction" filter, the attribute White Balance lower contrast.

After taking up the suggestion to Google on how to use the YUV curves I am definitely improving the look of the image.
Nonetheless, I was hoping that the difference between White & Super White settings could be corrected for by adjusting certain parameters to specific values, rather than by a trial & error adjustment with YUV curves.
In reply to Anton: the clip is a third or fourth generation originally recorded from off PAL cable TV: Cable > .avi > .mpg > .avi > .mpg.
Some time ago, in my ignorance I had set the Super White setting off in Edius 6 and I suspect this clip may have been processed during that time (it was Anton who brought this to my attention back then).
