Export with Quicktime & AVID

I am tring to export using Quicktime/Avid mpeg2. It just says unknown error. Edius will not export any of the Avid choices under Quicktime is this an error or is it just me?

Have you installed the Avid codecs? If not here is a link :http://cdn.pinnaclesys.com/SupportFi...LE%202_3_2.zip
Open them and install onto the system. Reboot. Then open Edius and give it another try.

No I have not installed any Avid codecs. I was under the impression that since they were listed under the quicktime save as file type export section in Edius 6 that they were part of the Edius 6 install. Are you saying that these choices don't show up in your Edius 6 export? Are they showing up in mine because I have Avid Liquid installed on the same computer as Edius? If they are showing up on mine wouldn't that mean I have the codecs installed?

If you have them, you should be able to export. Are they the listed codecs in the download link that I posted? These are the latest for Quicktime. I don't know if installing these will disrupt your Liquid setup.

I was able to create several different versions with the codecs. No errors.
It may be the Liquid install is causing the issue. I'm not sure about that.
(You would be better served if you put Liquid on a separate boot drive from Edius). So you won't confuse the .dll monster.

You can try installing the codecs from the download link I posted. No guarantees on that though. But they do work here. Are the codecs showing in my dropdown screen shot in your dropdown list? If not, try installing and see what happens.
