Solution if Edius 4.51 is crashing immediately after opening

Hi,
if Edius 4.51 is crashing immediately after opening with a windows error message - do not click the button to send the dump to microsoft - try instead to open the system settings - overlay settings and choose direct draw even if it is already selected.
This clears the problem after new start.

This solution was found by german users - Canopus support did not respond to this problem what so ever.

Please, you could be clearer? How it arrives to "system setting"?

Settings>Hardware Settings>'the device you use to edit with' (e.g. DVStorm-RT, EDIUS NX, OHCI)

The only "direct draw" that I have found is under the heading of "QuickTime" and, also selecting it, Edius still goes in crash. I have resolved uninstalling QT ver. 7.1 and installing QT vers. 6.5.2, selecting the MINIMAL version (not advised, not personalized).
