Installation and serial numbers + dongle

I'm stuck away from home setup and want to edit with my edius 4 purchase.

I have only a new laptop with no edius installed.

Apparently I cannot install from 4.51 without first having an earlier version installed.

I did also purchase 3 pro and do have that serial available. However I cannot install it from any of the 3 updates and need the old disc. (unobtainable at this time from any of my sources)

Further it appears 4.51 not only requires a dongle but also a serial which I've apparently not saved anywhere I can find.

I'm having trouble understanding why it would need both dongle and serial.

Where can I download full version of 3 pro and how can I dig up my version 4 serial?

I guess the easiest thing for you right now would be to install the Trial Version of 4.51, which would give you 30 days..not that bad...!

You cant install the 4.51c update, as it needs an installed 4.x-version, i am not sure how an upgrade from the edius 3 can help you, maybe you should contact the support, the dongle wount help you obviously, as there is no version of 4.x on your laptop..otherwise just the dongle would be sufficient together with the 4.51c update, no serial needed in this case...thats how it worked for me at least..yipiiii-i like it!

How long are you away from your full setup?

You can always install and run the new 30-day demo and then fix it up properly once you're reunited with your v4.xx installation cd and serial number.
