I am a DP at a TV station with 27 P2 cameras and 25 networked edit suites. I am trying to figure out how to import P2 clips for use on a network. Edius 6 does include P2 Select like all previous versions did. The Source Browser has limited functionality as it does NOT allow the user to save the P2 clips outside of an Edius project in a self-named folder. This is a HUGE step backwards! With P2 Select a user could navigate to the nteworked content server, create a unique folder name that describes the P2 Clips being imported and import them to that folder; all independently of Edius. This new system is really hurting the broadcasters that use Edius. We are forced to stick with Edius 5.xx until this issue is resolved.
