  • Registering Edius

I have two computers both had Edius 5 installed Both have now been upgraded to Edius 6
So I now have two full copies of Edius 5 which have been registered with Grass Valley I am not using
I will keep one copy in case I have to do a reinstall of Edius 6 cross grade but I would like to sell the other copy of Edius 5
Will it be possible for the person who purchases this copy to register it again in their name ?

Best to read the license agreement to see if the questionis covered.

I would expect that if you paid upgrade prices for the v6 copies based on the existing v5 licenses, you would not have the right to resell the v5 license (without the corresponding v6 going with it). If you paid full price for the v6 you could transfer the v5 license that was not used for an upgrade.

But what you can get away with in the real world may be different.

(FWIW: the TMPGEnc upgrade pricing sort of addresses this question with their three tier prices for thier upgrades.)
