  • Edius 6 - 32 or 64

I am working on HP z400 with many problems with Edius 6.0.2.

So, patiently I try to find where it comes from...

    Just to verify : Is Edius 6.0x a 32 or 64 bit software ?

So, any news about a 64 bits version ? (Delay) ?

Working on a 64 bits windows 7... is it acceptable or a 32 bits OS would be more "stable" ?

It is written to work within the 64bit OS. I would update to SP1 on Windows 7.
I would not expect that until the next version.
What exactly are your problems that you are having? Keep in mind workflow changes from Edius 5 are not considered program problems.
Did you build the system? Did you tweak the OS for editing? How did you set up your Edius profile?
There are many Win 7 64bit users not experiencing issues other than the bugs that have been reported already.

I did not build the system.

My purchaser is Holdan wich is a specialist of this. Complete installation is done by them on a Z400 HP computer (Xeon 8 core) for which I asked to go to 8 GB of memory. I will ask them what about SP1 and why so many unstability on this computer. Thanks for follow-up.

I use Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (64bit). When I insttaled Edius 6 I had some problemes with RAM. Now I have 12GB RAM and a readyboost pen (14,4GB).
The virtual memory is working at Raid0 not at system drive. This situation gave more performace.
