How can I update from Edius Pro version 4.2 (Limited offer by Sony)?

I purchased a HDR-HC7 camera from Sony. As promotion Sony delivered Edius Pro Version 4.2 with this camera.
When I try to update this software to the latest version, a message : no dongle is connected, appears. No dongle is delivererd with the Edius software, only a DVD.
Is it possible to update my version of Edius?

I am not aware of this special version in the US at least...

Since you do not have an EDIUS v4 dongle, the standard updater and updates will not run. I would check with your regional Grass Valley/Thomson office and see what the upgrade eligibility is for this special version.
