MVI File issues

I'm having difficulties with some MVI video files which look to be of quicktime origin and prepared on a Mac prior to being given to me on a USB stick. I am not sure what type of camera these clips come from but it is some $7000 still camera which also shoots awesome video.

The first of five video files drops straight onto the timeline for editing but the remaining four are not recognised by quicktime and will not even play in same or Windows Media etc as it always says file type not recognised and also will not drop onto the timeline.

Any ideas

Email a smaple to me Steve. May be that EDIUS 6 reads them but not EDIUS 5.
