strange effects on photos

I'm assembling the photos do the usual video but I'm realizing that as I watch the preview images and overlays are written in a flickering effect. May depend on what?
Perhaps I inadvertently changed some option?

ps: Another thing: why when i insert an avi clip in the time bar, it seems rotated by 180 degrees and cut on the right with a vertical green bar?
