  • EDIUS 4.5 and other things...

I am glad to see that most of you are happy with the progress we have made going into 4.5.

I was one of the lead folks for the Beta Program and I can tell ya that these folks worked around the clock looking for everything that they could.

I apologise we didn't find everything but please know that we are committed to continue making the product as good as possible for you.

Even though we do not say who the testers are I would like to personally thank them for not only their time but their willingness to take chances and to be completely professional during the testing period.

Now that there is a slight rest period I can join in here more! :)

The training site. I have finished 14 tutorials and they have been added to the training site. They are mostly starter tutorials.

I will be working on more so if you have something you really want to see just PM me and I will see what I can do.

No promises it will happen right away but I will keep a list :)

Thank you to all of you also... these forums have always been active and a good resource and that really is because we have great users.

    Thanks! :)

            Oh, YES!!!!!!!
Please, please, please- as many tutorials sa possible. In depth, please!
You may do it based on real projects- please add downloasable files- those tutors are very low quality and very small on screen- I want to make myself DVD disk, so if you can use MPEG4 or WMF files that I could download...
Please tips and tricks, advanced editing technics, working with Aftereffects (!!!) and other AAF new features, how to deal with alpha channel (what is that new filter?) and many many tutorials...
            Thank you

I suppose my question comes under the "Other Things" part of this thread.

Two days ago I downloaded ver 4.51, I installed it and so far apart from a few crashes, it has worked OK.

Today I went onto the download site and noticed that it had changed to ver 4.51c, unless I have missed something can someone tell what is different between the two versions?

              Thanks.

              Gordon.

The readme file explains the differences.

I'd be happy if you could make a tutorial about yuv curves and how to use them efficiently. Thanks.

Hmm... When I do some video for WEB, I have my source (DV) and I can convert them to any format I want. So if those guys will be asked to make a link to download a lesson in WMF format, it will be nice.
BTW, is it possible to do it like Edius 3.x tutorials? It will not take lots of server space (I do not want project files- just lessons!)
                        PS. AAF-BADLY NEED SOME TUTORIALS!
                        Thanks
