In short NO
Best format from Edius is WMV

I agree that .wmv is better, but if h264 is needed it's just as easy.
In the exporter, pick Quicktime and output to 1280x720. In the last dialog, pick h264 as the compressor/5000 kb/s and acc/mp4 audio.
You then have HD for youtube.Rusty Rogers | Films

I found this solution is very easy and very high quality (& fast):
in Edius 5.51 (6.01 is much slower) - select in/out - Export
- burn to disc - Style (untick) Use menu - Write - (tick) Enable detail setting - point to a folder (you can create a directory for it) on your hard drive
- Burn
It will create 2 folders: BD_Temp & BDMV
When the it's finished, go to the folder BDMV, will see 2 folders: BDMV & CERTIFICATE (can use imgburn to make bluray disc with these 2 folders).
go to BDMV - STREAM - 00000.m2ts
you can upload this file: x.m2ts to youtube and enjoy the highest HD video quality.
(many steps, but it's very fast and simple when you use it)Asus X99-A/USB3.1 - Samsung EVO870 1TB - Win10Pro - Edius 7.53Comment

Correct many of us keep telling people on the forum that you don't need quicktime to encode h264 for youtube or vimeo. Just use the Edius exporter (EDIUS 6.xx). Dave ( Redunion) has even put up an encoding test with a link to the uploaded video on Vimeo.
I don't know why some keep telling people you need quicktime. YOU DON'T NEED QUICKTIME.Last edited by GrassValley_SL; 02-11-2012, 11:55 AM.Comment

Using TMPGEnc and the settings as per Anton's tips will keep the quality with a much smaller file if you use the standard Edius export settings however.E9 PRO ,Intensity Shuttle capture Nvidia 650 TI LG 3D Monitor HDMI Win 10 PRO 64 Bit.Vistitle 2.6, Robuskey.
