I have loaded a sequence of .tiff images using the methods suggested in the previous posts. I have set the duration of still images in the Application Settings to 1 frame. I have "set as sequence" in the bin folder after importing the images or I have selected the first still in a series and checked the "sequence clip" option then imported.
When placed on the timeline, the clip does not play as it should. It appears either to add frames making the clip jerky or with another sequence, dropping frames yet playing for the correct time (1:15 from 45 still images). The only way that I can get the sequence of stills to play as intended is to put each still on the timeline as individual frames. The sequence of stills then plays as intended.
Any ideas on that might address the issues I'm having when making the individual stills a sequence?Comment

Do the following .
Don't use shft select.
Go to the first frame select it and then turn on as sequence clip.
Look if it now plays better.
O yes before I forget
Go to the bin
select the sequence
press alt + enter
go to video
You will probably see that the field order is progressive.
Now select the field order that matches your project settings
Also check if the frame rate is correct
If you discover that your machine is not powerful enough to play without a playback stop do this:
Select the sequence on the timeline and then press shft +G this will create a smart render at clip level for your sequence. It will follow the sequence if you move it.
