  • after burned DVD, trouble with DVD menu

Sorry for my bad English. I hope you tried to understand what I want to say, and please help me.

I burned dvd by EDIUS 6.

Basically, there are no problem to play the DVD on PC.
But, when I play DVD by DVD player, I have trouble with DVD menu.

Usually, chapter button should be Green borderd when you select.
But, no chapter menus turned into green.
I have checked with 4 DVD players, but all players have same trouble.

When I make DVD menu, I made no check marks "No Capter Button" "No Chapter Menu" "No Title Menu."

I have tried all the cursor styles, that are "Border" "Fill" "Underline."
But, all the styles did not work.

I have had no problem with EDIUS PRO5, but EDIUS6.

would you please give me any suggestions.

you need to tick the bottom option (no title menu)

    all others can be unticked

normally, if you want something, you tick it, but in this case, it is the opposite, maybe that is tradition in Japan?

I just made 3DVDs, but still all of three DVDs can not see green cursor.

        three DVDs, that means;

        I followed your instruction,
        and I changed cursor styles,

        #1 "Fill"
        #2 "Border"
        #3 "Underline"

All 3 DVDs can not show green "Fill", "Border", or "Underline."

did you burn with Edius or other burning software?

I tested with Edius, Nero and Imgburn and the green border surrounds the thumbnail when played in DVD or Blu-ray player

do you have s oftware DVD player such as Total Media 3 Ultimate? Do you see the green border?

are you using thumbnails menu or text menu?

is it motion menu or still menu?

can you attach a screenshot in png format of your Style view inside the Edius disk burner

I have CyberLink Power DVD. I also checked NTI Arcade delux. I could see the green border both softwares.

I have tried with both thumbnails and text menu in 3 different styles for each menu. I have made total 6 different styles. I could see green borders on DVD player softwares. But, none of them could see green borders through DVD players(sony blue ray player, and Pioneer DVD player).

but if I use motion menu, the whole menu is broken, this is a reported bug

                          1. never ever make the work folder the system temp folder, create a folder on an NTFS drive, possibly not the C drive

                          2. tick the middle option, Create disk and also export as image file

no need to tick anything else, it will only waste time

                            Hi motoaki.

Have you tried burning your Edius created DVD folders or image with another writting software. If the same thing happens, then it may suggest it is an Edius problem during authoring. If it works, then it may suggest a problem with the Edius writting engine, or compatabilty with the writter.

                            Cheers.

                            Dave.

                              thank you Dave.

I burned DVD Image file, which created by "Burn to disc", with CyberLink Power 2 Go.
The DVD, which I burned with Power 2 Go, works well on PC DVD player software. I see green line surround chapter buttons.

But, once I put the DVD into Pioneer DVD player and Sony Blueray palyer, I can not see any green line. But DVD menu works correctly. Just I could not see Green Line.

I installed EDIUS 6.01 DEMO notebook PC, because I want make sure my Desktop PC has no hard ware problem.

I burned DVD with my notebook PC but the DVD menu has same trouble, can not see either border, fill, or underline.

I have edit and burn DVD by EDIUS pro 5 for more than 2 years. I have not had this problem ever.
