  • Help can't capture with 4.51

Installed 4.51 and was starting a new project, but I can't get edius to see my NX card. I have tried to load in a SD mini dv and I get nothing. I switch to s-front bay and nothing. If I place a clip on the time line I can see it in my NTSC monitor, but everything is working very slow. My client comes in at 5 PM tonight to review his project. Help!!!!!

P5WDH deluxe Asus motherboard, 2.4 dual core. 2 gigs of ram.

Which Edius did you download? The one from the official Canopus site or Japanese site?

NX Works fine for me with Edius 4.51...and on top of that I am using a Mac :)

      question:
1 Are you choosing the nx as the capture device.
2 Are you choosing the correct input format
3 Is your project using a hardware profile

But answer the question asked by Dave first.

To answer Dave question, I down loaded the us version.
Yes I'm selecting the nx as capture device.
        Yes, I'm capturing dv 59i 4x3
        I have tried both ways.

Ok, I asked because the Japanese version doesn't support the NX...anyways.

You don't see the NX at all on the project list?? Try going into the device manager and under "Sound and Game controllers" see if your NX is showing up. If there is some type of exclamation mark, you need to run the NX drivers setup from the Edius 4.51 download.

          Let us know :)

I just tried to go back to 4.24 and it won't load. I'm doing a restall of 4.51.

              1) Uninstall all versions of Edius.
              2) Go to C:\Program Files\Canopus
              3) Delete the EDIUS4 directory.
              4) Go to Regedit and (be careful) and do the following:

              One: Go to:
              HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Canopus\ and delete "EDIUS".

              Two: Go to:
              HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canopus and delete "EDIUS".

              5) Go to your device manager and remove the NX and the Expansion kit hardware (If it shows up)

              6) Restart your computer

              7) Once in Windows, if you see a popup that asks for you to find drivers, just click cancel.

              8) Run Edius 4.51 (from Setupmanager) and make sure that it does everything, including installing the NX drivers (it is the very first thing that it will do).

              9) Report back :)

Hmm...do you see the NX drivers in Device manager without any exclamation marks or anything?

I don't think the ATI drivers had anything to do with this.

Also which version of the NX are you using? PCIe? PCI-X? NXExpress?

When you install EDIUS, is the HX-E1 box already checked?

Just got off the line with tech support.
It appears that we have a problem with the NHX card. The are getting us a replacement.
                          Thanks for all the help.
