It's just the description of the "Canopus DV Driver" that mentions DVRex...

Understood, but then it should be removed to avoid confusion

This is what I see when I installed 4.51C on my DVRexRT system. Nice that it worked with all the previous updates before this version. (unsupported, I understand). At least I was able to jump between the DVRex output and OHIC. Now all I have is OHIC.

I like what I see in the new version but not worth it to me. Looks like I have to roll back to 4.24

Briefly talked with my friend last night and he said he is up and running on 4.5 on DVRex. So far all the things that he's tested seem to work for him. I've not tried it on my 2 Rex systems yet.

It would seem that it does work, just not sure to what extend.

Has your friend done anything special to make the DVRexRT running with Edius 4.51?

Here is what I know (believe he said - I'll check back with him over the weekend). He had 4.0 installed using the driver from 3.61 (or 3.6?). He downloaded 4.51c and began the install. He told me he was presented with an option which included the Rex drivers (from all that's been said it was probably just the prompt but no actual driver was installed). Anyway, he checked that box and continued with the install. He rebooted and it worked! Now all he and I do is simple editing, nothing fancy and exporting to PCE. All that he said worked, no problems and no crashes. He still needs to check the capture from the breakout box and see if he can get input from their.

This is all I know, but he was running it while I was on the phone with him so it does work. I'll also ask him to set up an ID on this new form and post exactly what he did and in what order, instead of getting vital information second hand from me.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I know how important it is to keep Edius running on the Rex and I need to do it as well.

                        No need to be sorry.
                        Thanks for this.
This is a big bug for me and i need this to work, did try last night and it did not work, I did not have much time so i put the 4,24 back on the system so i can keep on working.
My best to you and your friend

Interesting. I experienced exactly the same thing when I updated only to find the RexRT was not working. (Although, I thought it was). Then I realized that I had no preview output (or any input) and it (RexRT) didn't show up under the Hardware settings, only OHIC. Various different drivers
                          didn't help either.

We definitely need more details. But I got a bad feeling that it's not working for him either once he digs a little deeper. I hope I'm wrong.

Heck, RexRT was almost perfect with Edius 4.24. I'm all for upgrading but I'm not ready to dump a couple of grand into a new system just yet.

A little unsupported, not documented help from the home office would make lot of old timers, like myself, very happy.

Indeed, I just want it to be under hardware available for capture and output to the monitor/TV.

Please someone test this out and let us know the correct procedure to set it up.
