Set duration of fade to and from black

Is there a way to set the default duration of these effects?

I believe it's entirely dependant on the position of your edit cursor, and the clip currently selected.

That's a very nice touch! Just tried it and it works very well, thank you.

Must say, I really do like the new look and interface. Of course, I love the new button on the Timeline for setting on/off extend clips for transitions.
