    Well I may be on to something. I updated the display drivers and it seems to be much improved. Now the delay is only about 1-3 seconds which seems to be much more inline with what it should be. My desktop is faster but it should be with a faster FSB.
    Main System. MSI G33m Motherboard, Intel Q6600 CPU, 2GB Ram, GeForce 9500GT, 7200rpm System drive. WinXP. Lots of external eSATA drives.

    Laptop. Sony Vaio. CPU- i7-Gen 3, 8gb RAM, 1tbb 5400rpm hard drive, AMD GPU

      It seemed better last night but this morning is back to it's slow swicthing behavior between apps. It switches great between all other apps except Edius. It even takes a long time to exit PCE from within Edius and get back to edius. 1+ minute.

      I even checked latency on my MB and it is not a configurable option on my laptop.
