I find Sony Vegas the most simple to use amoung the pro editing software.
Many many functions and you do a lot of things just in a very simple way..As I wrote: just push the numeric pad arrows and clips is moving, for example. The bad is that no hardware RT is supported.

Speed Razor was excellent for moving clips with keyboard
Alt+left arrow = 1 frame to left
Alt+right arrow = 1 frame to right

Guest repliedOk Anton, I got it....not exactly what I do with the other software, but better than nothing! I find in Edius are failing some elementary and very useful functions that other lower end programs have! Maybe in the next versions some operations will be less complicated to do!? I hope so.
Thanks,
Raf

depending on your version of Edius, the < and > keys will move clip 1 frame at a time and when holding shift at the same time, 10 frames
you need to be in "Trim select roll" mode F7 key in my case
go to keyboard shortcuts and assign F7 or any other key to engage this mode
also handy to know

Guest repliedThank you for responding, but I was wondering if there is a way to move a clip without using mouse...I use also another software and when a clip is selected if I hold down the "4" key of the numeric pad the clip is moving frame by frame to the left; if I hold the "5" key the clips move to the right. I find it very useful sometimes to adjust accurately the position of the clip. I can't find something similar in Edius!?

I am a keyboard and mouse person, so I use both at the same time
2 fingers on Shift+Alt and I drag a clip and everything to the right of the clip will follow in any direction

Moving clips
Hi everybody.
I am using Edius only from a few months and still don't know many thigs: for example i don't know how I can move my clips (events) right and left on the timeline using the keyboard!? Is there a way to do it without dragging with the mouse?
Thanks a lot.
