how do I kill XDCAM select, it keeps popping like a virus, I close it and it pops again and again

other than that, I can edit again with pleasure, all things that bothered me have been fixed and only one thing broken so far, the timeline cursor no longer moves during export, it works in 4.03

now to test Imaginate, back soon

Not happening for me Anton. Although I couldn't install the update until I restarted because the XDCAM select process was still running (when it shouldn't have been).

XDCAM Select rocks guys. Guess it might be annoying if you don't work with XDCAM tho.

also, I am unable to make Shift+A select all clips in bin, currently it is Ctrl+A but I am used to Shift+A from years of editing and keyboard customize won't let me change this

and once again, I fail to understand how to select the audio transition and do a split, meaning making audio trans shorter or longer as compared to video trans

Oh, is that what you mean, I thought you meant the transfer window.
Gotta say I didn't even notice it.

XDCAM select is using a fair bit of Ram and I don't have XDCAM so I don't see a need for it to run

maybe one day I get XDCAM

once you set your hardware to use max buffer of 512, every bit counts :)

thanks to that new buffer, all my Xplode trans are realtime no matter their duration and I don't even need to prefill

I have 4GB and I dont think the XDCAM process is included in the EDIUS 2GB limit- but i see your point.
How do you find it using max buffers, I haven't tried, thinking it would take too long to start playing.

no, it plays instantly and fills itself as it starts playing

I parked the cursor at the start of an Xplode Pro 4.5 trans and hit play, the buffer started at 0 and hit 300 half way though transition, never dropping a frame

I meant pre filling the buffer, which is what i normally do.

no need to prefill like you used to, it will do it as it plays

It always has, just when you start right before a really heavy load area.
                            Anyway, it's good to have.

The old trick of renaming the XDSelect folder in the TOOLS folder doesn't work anymore, apparently the location has been moved, and XDSelect now launches from the Edius main directory.

Just locate the XDSelect executable and rename it.
