  • adding lip to timeline in 4.x

Everytime I try to add a clip to the timeline other than VA 1 it splits off into two clips. One above the time line and the other on VA1below. I know I have something set wrong. If I add the clip to VA1 then put it in the timeline above it does fine.

What Have I got set wrong?

    Thanks

    do a clear all track.
If you use the default keyboard layout it is click on any track on the left (where the va a buttons are located) and press 9

Thanks It worked.... I don't know how I got it set that way. I did add several tracks above VA1.

Sorry to be so dense. I have just moved up to 4.x.

      Thanks

I think you accidentally set a video channel or audio mapping :)
