Can anyone explain what Izotope VST plugins accomplish? Are they nothing more than a third party audio filter plugin?
    Thanks,

And ... if you want more ....

There is more heavy duty audio "bugs" removal by iZotope. I used them - excellent tools. RX 2 is now available on their website.

Can RX be used as a VST plug-in, in the same way as the Izotope plug-in set now provided with Edius ?

I see that Spectral Repair doesn't have Edius listed as a supported host - can you confirm the situation.
Based on their demo clip, this looks like a 'must have' tool if it works as well as the example on the Izotope web site.

RX 2 (advanced with Professional) - can work like a plugin. BUT RX 2 is not a real time tool - so, EDIUS is out of question.

I have never operate my audio tools under EDIUS - always prefer Sony Sound Forge or use RX (and now RX 2) in standalone - much better.
