ok so how do you get edius to automatically resize clips and titles when switching from a hdv project to a dv project and back again clips are hdv and when opened in a dv project they are cutting the edges and viewing the centre when going back to a hdv project they are centered in the screen with large black bourder...at the moment all i can do it do it clip by clip in layout...
any ideas any one having the same problem
love to hear any workarounds if no actual solution

simply switch to a 16:9 dv project and not 4:3 (4:3 is dead, at least in my country)

as for titles, simply double click to open and exit again, done

      hi anton

thanks for your reply however im talking about a 16/9 dv project going to a hdv project and vice versa if you open a hdv project with hdv clips and then transfer the project to a dv 16/9 project all the clips on the timeline are showing the centre 720x 576 of the hdv matériel only if you go into layout and correct each clip sometimes hundreds can it be fixed.
is there any way edius can automatically resize the clips to fit the projet

that is impossible (unless there is something broken with your installation)

maybe you are using the wrong HDV preset? you need to use HDCAM/HDV 1440x1080

so your saying that your clips always resize to fit the project when switching from hdv to dv and yes im using the 1440 by 1080 project

correct, I can switch any SD 16:9 to HDV and it will be perfect, and I can switch any HDV to 16:9 SD and it will be perfect

I am using Edius 4.03, have not tried any later versions because of some undesired audio node bugs

I am an SP user which is similar to NX, it has a few more inputs and RS-422 deck control, otherwise it is the same
