Quicktime Animation FPS bug?

If I export to Quicktime Animation from a 25fps timeline, the resulting file reports as 24.84 fps in both Edius and in QT player.

Is there a reason for this?

QT is very strange with respect to framerates. I've seen all sorts of crazy numbers on videos from all sorts of sources including movie trailers and stock footage. I'm not sure why it's like that, but it's definitely a QuickTime oddity.
