  • Edius And Panasonic Workflow

    Hey all.
I am having a devil of a time trying to develop some kind of work flow for the new Panasonic TM 700.

I am curious to know how other users are designing their work flow.

I am using Edius 5.12 and right now I am running a single core and am having the obvious issues.
The future plan is a I7 980X processor.

Just curious to see how other peeps are working with the 1080P viz that comes from the Panny TM 700.

    Thanks

2T external stoarage, XFX Nvidia 9600GSO Video Card.
All stuffed into a HAF 932

Are you referring to the 60p setting? If so, Edius does not have a setting for 1080p 60. The bitrate on avchd is between 17-21. The 60p is 28, this means you need more grunt to get it to work. Also, a preset to use the file in.

I was thinking that, for the time being I would down convert to 1080I or even 720P.

Not sure how to move forward and was hoping others here have had some luck.

As expected the viz has brought my current computer to it's knees.
