Will Edius work in OCHI mode?

Are there any hardware problems in your Device Manager?

Are you using original (shipped with your video card) or the latest video drivers? (after many problems, I went back to original)

Make sure you install the drivers that comes with the EDIUS installation.

The driver install normally should run in the EDIUS install, but maybe it was not checked or not recognized. Check the Tools folder of your EDIUS installation. If you have installed an EDIUS update, check the update package first, as that should contain the latest driver.

Install EDIUS v4. Makes sure the Canopus DV Driver checkbox is enabled on install, and go through the Canopus DV Driver install. That should install the DVX-E1 driver.

When you install a v4 upgrade, make sure you upgrade the DVX-E1 driver if it does not automatically get upgraded.

I think that the freeze problem maybe is settings in Canopus.ini. I changed from OverlayMethod=0 to OverlayMethod=1. If I started Edius in software mode and change Project settings to DVX mode then I see on TV screen freeze screen from timeline but Edius will crashed (PC is freeze).

This is my Canopus.ini maybe help...

                  Hi Trax

Do you have your firewire cable connected on your dvx when you start Edius?
If so disconnect and try again.
I had the same problem and edius was freezing when my vcr was connected
to the DVX and was not turned on.
You can use another firewire controler though.
Also check the read me in the canopus DVX-E1 driver for other
                  settings to the canopus ini.
                  Hope this helps
                  George

And I read in DVX Installation manual on Appendix, chapter 2 "For Users Using OHCI and EDIUS DVX" that DVX has problems with motherboards with Intel ICH4/ICH5/ICH6/ICH7. I hav motherboard Intel DG965WH with ICH8R/ICH9R SATA RAID Controller. Maybe this is core of problems? I dont know but I have not any idea what I do now... :-(
