Has anyone got After Effects CS3 running on their Edius system, if so have you had any issues with it?
I have tested for a few days, and it appears to be causing crashes both in After Effects and Edius - the system just freezes solid in Edius at random intervals, whilst renders in After Effects randomly fail.
This has been going on for a few days, I just cleaned ECS3 out, and all appears to be well, both with Edius and AE7 - so far!
Secondly there appears to be a conflict if you have not removed earlier versions of the software - any comments on this?
I read on the Adobe site that there are a number of "payload" programmes that come with all CS3 packages, the mosy unpleasant is the Apple Bonjour network soft.
If anyone has tested this or is about to load any CS3 packages, example Encore CS3, to a system that runs Edius and has a hardware card such as NX or Storm, please report your findings - I suspect that you may seriously harm your Edius system by adding any of these packages.
I'm about to test on a second machine with Edius and Storm2 3.4 H4 hyperthreader.
I realise that this is a bit After Effects heavy, but I felt I should write as it has played havoc with my editing schedule.
