I don't know what is causing this, but my curser sticks for about 3 -5 seconds before moving, and the image on the PC monitor does the same...the video on the output monitor however, responds correctly, and shows everything as is.....Is there something that I can do to correct this issue, other than 'shift + spacebar'. I checked all my settings, even added the files as discribed with the stom2 update, but the lag does not change.... I am using Storm with Edius 3.62, all drivers updated.

With 4.5 just around the corner. I would suggest upgrading to 4.

yeh, but for now I have 3.62, and Photo Album works with that...I use Photo Album a lot in my wedding videos....Edius 4 is ok....I tried the demo and like it, but I am comfortable with 3.62....It is just that I rebuilt and am using PCI x instead of AGP video card..........and until I purchase the NX card, I don't want to go for V.4..That would be soon.Comment

I would do what Dave suggested with the PCI latency, I use 64. When I had it at 32 I would sometimes get Disk Slow message while capturing OHCI 1080i HDV to HQ in RT, changing PCI latency to 64 fixed that issue.
If you plan to buy Edius 4 upgrade, I recommend a creating a FULL Disk Image of your boot disk just in cause you run into any other issues with your editing style. I use Acronis True Image for creating and restoring my boot disk, it's has been a major time saver for me when new installs don't go well.

What happens to the buffer when you start to play? Does it fill up really fast right when you hit the space bar or does it lag until the cursor comes back to normal?
I think your Storm card is having some type issue with your AMD system...might be a graphics card issue? Try changing the overlay type, don't remember if Edius 3.x supported overlay in the settings.
Did this just start happening? Or have you never had the Storm in that computer? If OHCi is working fine, it's all down to the Storm and how compatible it is with your system.
Go to the Canopus.com site, then the downloads section, log in and in the general utilities down the Storm Test. Run it and see what it says for PCI Latency.
This is why I always stick with Intel, but that's a side note as this probably has nothing to do with the CPU.Comment

I can't recall if I had any issues with Edius 3.x and P4 system. This is where the old forum would be helpful because I would of posted it, if I had an issue.

I had a Storm1 system with a P4 2.8Ghz non HT system and the same lag happened....even on a fresh install of XP.Comment

The buffer fills up real fast with the Storm car, and I have real time in xplode....I can even start from in the middle of a photo album transition 10 secs. or longer, and the buffer fills up guickly......just that the curser sticks for 3 -5 secs. before it moves, I did the overlay adjustments already, added the items to Canopus. ini file to get things to look good, only issue is the sticky curser. and I cant find out how to change the latancy settingsComment

But thinking about it, my HT P4 with Edius 3.x was sluggish with long timelines and the Core2Duo fixed that problem, no lagging just sluggish.
