  • 5dmkii and ex files?

I'm just about half way through editing a wedding from the weekend which was shot with our normal sony ex3 and ex1s.
But this is the first wedding where we have used our 5dmkii for video and are incorporating some of these 1920x1080 25p files with the 1920 x1080 50i files from the exs.
I have right clicked in the bin on the 5d mkii files and converted to Canopus HQ before editing but on output I usually go the virtual dub route but this time I'm going to try Antons T4 as I use T4 already.
So my question to all of you is should I change the 5dmkii files field order to upper to match the EXs or just leave them in Edius 5.5 as progressive files sitting in a interlaced timeline?
    Thanks in advance.

leave them alone - Edius will convert them on output.

You might want to add a +/-16 YUV correction if the clips appear too contrasty or crushed blacks - see other posts for more info

      Thanks Mattie
Yes I had already read some of the forum about the crushed blacks and luckily I had already turned right down the SAT and CONTRAST before recording.
Still a bit saturated but crushed blacks were better.
