  • Recover User Presets?

    Hello,

I just had a power outage from a storm and when I opened up Edius 5.5 all of my effect user prests are gone. I have a lot backed up, but some I made very recently.

Is there a place in Windows I can go find them and bring them back into Edius?

    Thanks

My one and only profile is shown at startup along with all of my project presets. When I look at the profile it says <shared profile offline>

Is there a way to reload the profile? I can't find any reference to it in the Canopus folder.

It seems like a user preferences file has been lost.

          My keyboard shortcuts are working.

          Thanks for your help.

enable show hidden files and folders

            go to C:\Users\Your Login Name\AppData\Roaming\Canopus\EDIUS\5.00\User

            anything in there?

I usually right click the profile icon in Edius startup and export to a save location, then when something like that happens, I right click and import

              Hello,

It would seem I have disappeared. I have attached a screenshot of Windows Explorer that shows the content of two folders.

I am off to bed right now. Thanks for your help!

looks like you need to create your settings again

when done, export the profile to a safe location

                  O.K.

Gosh if one doesn't have to backup everything seemingly everyday...

I have had quite a few power outages over the years and never have lost the user. At least I can forage around the last few projects and reconstruct the presets I created along with an export from April of the list.

                  Thanks
