Originally edited in SD now want HD version

Hello, this may sound very dumb...

I'm using AVCHD files natively in Edius 5.5, and editing in SD (it seems to work quicker and my customers are not requesting HD yet)

So, having completed a project this way, is there a simple way to convert the finished project to back HD? I thought maybe I could open a new HD project, add all the AVCHD files and somehow use an exported EDL to replicate the project in HD, but that doesn't seem to work.

Can I simply output to an HD-size AVI or will that simply stretch the SD images?

Is there a simple answer that i'm overlooking?

it is very simple

change project setting back to HD and everything will be HD in an instant at the original resolution

editing HD clips in SD project keeps the clips at original resolution

be sure you check titles after changing project back to HD, they may appear smaller until you double click each title and close it again

alternatively, use vistitler and then you can change HD to SD all day long and title size will remain the same

Thanks Anton - I hoped it would be simple and it was simpler than I hoped! Worked a treat, titles needed attention as you said but other than that it's fantastic!
