Maybe it is one of those things that the broadcast users of Edius wanted, and so to please them it was done their "prefered" way. Quite a few things were changed in v6 to appease the broadcast Edius users.
Not the case at all, but if you want to continue to blame everything you don't like on "broadcasters" go ahead. But it sure gets old. I would be very happy if people would quite posting inflammatory posts like this that has no information in them what so ever.

No... the buttons for stripping audio and video were just moved. So except for that bringing down only audio or video is not any different.
