HDV: Edius to Flix workflow

I have a client that is trying to export his HDV project in Edius 4 to Flash Video. He owns On2 Flix Pro. Currently the video looks misproportioned, like the aspect ratio came out wrong somehow.

Can someone with experience in this provide some sort of workflow for exporting from Edius (settings, format, etc), converting in On2 Flix, with a final output that is smaller in dimensions but retains the same aspect ratio?

I output my timeline to a single HQ.avi file.
Import into Adobe Flash8 where I have to set the aspect manually to 16:9. Default is 4:3. A pain, but it works and looks great!
