A few of us (offline) have been discussing organizing an Edius get-together possible a day or two prior to the WEVA convention this August in Orlando. The get-together at NAB was great for a lot of reasons but maybe we can take it up another notch. Maybe the "powers that be" at GV are reading this thread (hint hint).

That would be fun but I'm not sure I could make it a few extra days because of expenses. It is a great idea though and if anything starts taking shape please make sure to put some details around here so we can know about it just in case.

I just click and hold Alt and use the mouse to raise or lower the
            audio band does both ends.

version yet. I am watching a 2 1/2 hour tutorial on Edius but it is raising alot of questions for me that are not address in the tutorial I am hoping he is just skipping over them rather than Edius just not being able to do them. Simple things like it telling me to add a trans by dragging and drop between clips but what if I have say 50 5sec clips and I want to apply a dissolve and audio trans to all in one shot? Can this be done? Can I change to default transition (if there is a default)?

I notice the if i want to adjust the over all audio level of a clip I have to raise each end of the rubberband is the a way to grab the line and raise or lower it equally?

Is there a way to unlink all clips not just one at a time?
Can Edius capture from mini DV with sence detection?
I am suprised that you can't apply a video and audio disslove trans to the end of a clip it has to be done manually.
If I white balance a clip is there a way of coping that effect from the information pallettes and pasting it to another clip?
Sorry for all the question because I have alot more I am just suprised this tutorial does not metion these things. I need to make a decision on a new editing software from liquid 7 pretty soon.
            Thanks Mike[/QUOTE]

Edius does all of the things you are asking about.
              White balance for example.

You can fix the white balance on a clip the way you like it, then save it as a preset and then apply it in one shot to all the video clips you select

On Antons website you will find more info on placing dissolves all at the same time on multiple clips and a lot of other useful info.

                Where do you get Manual

I have the Edius Neo 2.5 that came with my Panisonic Pro-Am camcorder. No instructions, no manual, nothing but a disk which somehow I have sucessfully registered. How do I get a manual or even basic info on this program? Is it on line someplace?
                Thanks

P.S. Have you explored the disc to see if there is a pdf manual on it?
