Edius Pro 3.5 No Sound

I have several projects on my system and as of yesterday, I cannot hear any sound from any one of them.. like if I put the system on MUTE, but I didn't.
When I bring up the equalizer, I see the bars going up and down, but, can't hear a thing.

Any advice....... this happened after I just installed a new LG DVD Writer..??

I would appreciate any info yuu can give me.

The first thing I would do is go into device manager and disable the new DVD writer to see if there is a direct connection between it and your problem

make sure the soundcard is still showing as the default device
