Hello...
we're gonna shoot a tv commercial and it maybe transfer to film, our contact in miami told to us that we can shoot 24, edit 24 and finnally export 24 (image sequence in this case audio appart) and they transfer to film... the thing is (please excuse my latin english and i know it has been discussed before in the forum) in our HD monitor the image looks stroby every time we've made a 24 shoot (Panasonic P2) no matter the settings of the project we have...
so: our contact told to us that is very common that any NLE software does a "upconvert" -sorry i'm not sure how to explain it in english- that means that the NLE insert the 6 frames missing on the 24p footage to achieve this way a 30p footage and not to see stroby in our monitor... our worry is to show the commercial to our client this way (stroby_) even knowing that it will be perfect on theaters...
i'm not sure i'm being transparent: my question would be: Does eny of you have ever heard or even could explain to us the "6 frames" missing/inserted??
thanks
