I'm sorry my inexperience but can I use SpeedEncoder with my Edius NX card?
Have I to buy it? How can I use it, please?
SpeedEncoder is one of the various options in the 'Export to file' list. Edius 4.x has the program included.

My Sony FX7 is connected by a Firewire cable and on the Edius 4 Timeline I have clips in 4:3 but I don't see the possibility to configure Edius for DV. For example when I open Edius 4 I don't see the option to work in 4:3 in SD.
How can I configure Edius 4 please?
    Thanks a lot.

If I have not made an error I think I have configured my FX7 fine.

When I use an HDV project I have not problems: I create a HDV.TS file with Procoder Express

I am not familiar with Sony FX7. But, I have a Sony DSR-25 DV tape recorder. I connect the DSR-25 to my Canopus NX card using Firewire. If I output SD (Standard Definition) signals at either 4:3 or 16:9, I can see that output on the DSR-25 LCD screen. However, if I do the same thing using HD (High Definition) signal, nothing is seen on the DSR-25 screen.

This means - you have to check
    a) is the NX card connected correctly to the Sony FX7 (via Firewire)?
    b) Are you setting the project to SD (and not HD)?

some cameras/players act strange and they need to be excited to work

so, double click any clip in the bin to activate player preview, then go back to timeline and it will work (it had its excitement)

press rec on camera and press spacebar to play timeline

or use print to tape, here it is important that you mark in and out and that you add at least 10 sec of black from in point to start of show and from end of show to out point

so, if show is 10 min, the duration between in and out should be 10 min and 20 sec or more, I always add 1 min of black at start to get clear of dropout area

Edisu 4: I am not able to rec a tape from Timeline

Hi, from a little time I use Edius 4 and Edius NX card.
I'm sorry my inexperience but I am not able to output and record a miniDV tape with Sony FX7. When I use an HDV project I have not problems: I create a HDV.TS file with Procoder Express and in Menu acquisition I exported that file into the Sony FX7.
Now on my Timeline I have a DV 4:3 project.
Can you tell me how have I to do to export that project?
When I used Edius 3 and I did not have Edius NX card, in the meantime the film run on the timeline I recorded the tape with the recorder. With Edius 4 and Edius NX card if I do so I don't see any image in the Sony FX7. The signal doesn't enter. I think I have configured Sony FX7 fine.
Can you give me some advice, please?
    Thanks
Working...
