ready to build a new system - did a little searching but couldnt find a definitive answer----does windows 7 play nice with edius 5.5 ? ??Should i get 64 bit version??!? (not even sure what that means!?!) help!

Yes get a 64 bit version of Win 7 and 5.5 officially supports Win 7

I just did the upgrade from 3.6 (XP-Pro) to Win-7 64 and Edius 5.5. I also have Procoder 3.5 working great.
I even took a complete 3.6 project and all the needed files, edited on my old system and copied them to the same letter drive on my new system and everything worked. The only problem, was a couple of Explode4 transitions. Edius put some Dummy transitions in there place.
Procoder works really fast now. I went from a P4 3gig to I 7 960 with 12gig of memory.
